Business People Ltd is an HR consultancy company providing organisations with strategic HR and ongoing practical support to in particular the small to medium sized companies.

We enjoy working with company’s who may already have an HR function but need senior strategic HR support or those companies without an HR function who need help with best practice HR principles for their people.

Following 15 years management experience in senior Human Resource positions, Robyn Beguely established Business People Ltd in late 2005.

Prior to this Robyn was Human Resources Manager for the newly formed business Fonterra Brands NZ Ltd (post it’s sale back to Fonterra) for the three years prior to this she was Human Resources Manager for New Zealand Dairy Foods Ltd under Rank Group.
A significant component in both the above roles was the management of restructuring and merging of the new and existing companies plus the design of human resource initiatives focused on achievement of strategic business goals and growth. Understanding business challenges and coaching a wide range of talented executives in business performance improvement via effective people management has been a core component of Robyn's work over the last 10 years.

Earlier in Robyn's career she worked as a senior manager for the Auckland District Health Board, running a Health and Safety Service for the organisations 7,800 employees for four years, and then went back into a generalist Human Resources Management role for the Hospitals with approximately 1,500 employees. Being involved latterly in the Change Programme as Human Resources Manager and Project Manager to restructure and merge six hospitals onto one site was a significant organisational design project that shaped her direction from there. Robyn's initial HR experience was gained at Fisher + Paykel Ltd where she worked in Occupational Health then in various HR roles in the Laundry, Distribution, Panasonic and Cellnet Divisions.

Robyn originally qualified as a registered nurse before the call of commerce moved her onto the Human Resource management career track. Robyn also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Employee Relations from the University of Auckland.
